Who we are

We build the inspect–price–prove loop for UK site work. If a firm still needs Excel, WhatsApp photos, or a separate quoting tool, we have failed.

Fail List Ltd

Fail List is a UK product at faillist.co.uk. The working company name is Fail List Ltd. We are not a certification body, test house or insurer.

What we do

Site work usually dies in pieces: a spreadsheet fail list, photos in WhatsApp, a quote typed from memory, a job marked complete with no proof. Fail List is one path instead of that stack.

  • One Asset id for the pin, photo, defect, quote line, task and evidence. Nothing important lives off-asset.
  • Inspect → fail list → priced quote is the happy path, not an export into another tool.
  • Jobs cannot close until the remedy’s required photos are on the asset. Named people, named systems.
  • Not door-only. Day-one kinds: fire door, fire stopping, compartment, other site job.
  • Handover is a CSV or PDF of the living register, not a zip of PDFs in a folder.

The record is: a named person installed a named system, with evidence. We do not say the software certified a door or a seal.

Three skins, one database

The same records, three ways of working. Not three products to buy.

  • Trade — jobs and quotes for the contractor doing the work.
  • Survey — templates and defects for the inspection.
  • Estate — the register and compliance picture for the customer who hired you.

Who it is for

Fire-door and fire-stopping contractors, and the estates that hire them. Owners set up the company, add their people, keep a folder per client, and send customer PDFs on their own letterhead.

See pricing if you want to know how we intend to charge once user testing is done. One organisation subscription covers the loop — not a survey app plus a quoting tool.
