Cookie policy

What cookies faillist.co.uk uses. Last updated 5 September 2026.

Strictly necessary

We use a session cookie so we know who is signed in. Without it the product cannot work. Names you may see:

  • better-auth.session_token on local development
  • __Secure-better-auth.session_token on faillist.co.uk (Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax)

These cookies last about seven days or until you sign out. We also store faillist-cookie-notice in local storage so we do not show the same notice every visit. That is not a tracking cookie.

Under PECR, strictly necessary cookies do not need a consent banner. The notice on this site is information, not a request to allow advertising cookies.

What we do not use

We do not currently set advertising, social-media or analytics cookies. If that changes we will update this page and ask before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.

How to control cookies

You can block cookies in your browser. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to sign in. See also the privacy policy.
